HIV Updates -Takeaways from IAS 2021

After almost three years in to the Covid-19 pandemic and having gone through worst of the times, the pandemic is now in the stage of culmination.. Though some parts of the world is still grappling with high Covid-19 infections, for India it is business as usual that includes socialization and physical large medical conferences, and that too without any Covid-appropriate behaviours (CAB). ASI was one of the first few medical associations to start physical conference with ASICON in Hyderabad in April 2022. In line with the same the 14th National Conference of AIDS Society of India - ASICON will be held at a yet another wonderful and convenient venue ITC-WELCOMHOTEL, Dwarka in New Delhi from 17 to 19 March, 2023. Arrangements are ready for over 500 delegates in physical mode with excellent connectivity for virtual mode. Besides HIV, the scientific agenda of the conference will encompass other emerging infectious diseases.

With the support of our excellent faculty and well wishers, we are making efforts to make this conference yet another landmark as ASICON is being hosted in Delhi after 18 years, after we had ASICON debut in 2005 at Delhi's Ashoka Hotel! National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Central TB Division (CTD), WHO, UNAIDS will continue to be our academic partners among others.

Despite no specific financial support from any corner, ASI would like to continue its effort to address the aspirations of our post-graduate students and young scientists to showcase their achievements through presentations and ASI will offer scholarships to make that happen.

We hope to welcome you in person at WELCOMHOTEL by ITC in New Delhi for ASICON.
