HIV Updates -Takeaways from IAS 2021

Welcome to ASICON – Ahmedabad

The 16th National Conference of the AIDS Society of India – ASICON 2025 will be held at yet another wonderful and convenient venue, Taj Skyline Hotel, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from 21 to 23 February 2025.

Arrangements are being made for the anticipated 350 delegates in the physical mode with excellent virtual mode connectivity.

The scientific agenda of the conference will encompass the recent advances in HIV and other emerging infectious diseases. This will include the new PrEP and treatment involving Lenacapavir. With the support of our excellent faculty - both International and National - and well-wishers, we are sparing no effort to reach out to all to make this conference a resounding success and another landmark scientific feast, especially as the ASICON is being hosted for the first time in Gujarat in the 24 years of the founding of our Society and 19 years since we started organising ASICON.

The National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Central TB Division (CTD), International AIDS Society- IAS, WHO, and UNAIDS, among others, will continue to be our academic partners. Infectious Diseases Society of Gujarat will be our new academic partner.

ASI will continue its effort to fulfil the aspirations of our post-graduates and young scientists to showcase their achievements through posters and oral presentations at this conference. ASI will offer scholarships to successful applicants as well.

We hope to welcome you in person at Ahmedabad, the most vibrant state in India – the land of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, for the 16th ASICON.
